About us
Minerva Biolabs GmbH is a leading biotechnology company for the development, manufacture and distribution of detection and elimination kits for microbial contamination control. The core competence of Minerva Biolabs lies in the control of mycoplasmas and bacteria in cell cultures and biopharmaceuticals using conventional PCR, real-time PCR and digital PCR. The corresponding sample preparation kits and standards as well as innovative products for the prevention and elimination of microbial contamination are also offered. Products for the qualification of (q)PCR cyclers, for the elimination of DNA/RNA contamination in the PCR laboratory or for the detection of water germs round off the portfolio.
The portfolio is being successively expanded to include innovative products for ensuring the quality of biopharmaceutical/ATMP products in accordance with regulatory guidelines - including products for host cell residual DNA testing, determination of vector copy number and viral vector titer and complete pyrogen testing.
Our products are easily and economically available worldwide through our global distribution network. We strive to provide highest quality products and services that can be used with confidence in scientific and clinical research, and for in process and quality control in the biopharmaceutical industry.

Venor®GeM qEP
Venor®GeM qEP utilises quantitative real-time PCR for fast, reliable and highly sensitive detection of mycoplasma contamination in cell cultures and biopharmaceuticals in compliance to regulatory guidelines (EP 2.6.7/JP G3/ USP <63>).
Mycoplasma Off™
Mycoplasma Off™ is intended for cleaning and disinfecting all kinds of laboratory surfaces and devices - including safety cabinets, incubators, work benches, sample storage boxes, and liquid nitrogen containers. Rapidly effective against mycoplasma contaminations, Mycoplasma Off™ also has a broad antimicrobial activity against several other contaminants. Mycoplasma Off™ is available as a refillable spray bottle or as single-use wipes.
10CFU™ Sensitivity Standards
10CFU™ and 100CFU™ Sensitivity Standards are intended for matrix specific validation of NAT-based mycoplasma detection methods according to regulatory guidelines (EP 2.6.7, JP G3, USP <63>). 10CFU™ and 100CFU™ Sensitivity Standards contain irreversibly inactivated mycoplasma (amount corresponding to 10 or 100 CFU) and allow safe and reliable validation.
ZellShield®
ZellShield® protects cell cultures from a variety of known contaminants. ZellShield® is active against most intracellular and extracellular growing gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, mycoplasma, protozoa, fungi and yeasts.
MiQuant® CAR-T Cell dPCR Lenti
The MiQuant® CAR-T Cell dPCR Lenti kit is intended for the determination of vector copy numbers (VCN) in transduced cells to determine the average copies of integrated lentiviral vectors per cell genome after ex vivo transduction of human or other mammalian cells.
